Journal of Scientific Psychology Announces a new CEO
The Journal of Scientific Psychology (JSP) is proud to announce a new incoming Chief Executive Officer. Dr. J. Adam Randell, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Cameron University, will take over the CEO duties from Dr. Robert Mather. Dr. Mather will be retained by JSP as a Consulting Editor.
Dr. Randell received his doctoral degree in experimental psychology from Texas Tech University, where he specialized in social psychology. Dr. Randell teaches Biopsychology, Sensation & Perception, and undergraduate and graduate Social Psychology. Additionally, he co-directs the Social Learning and Perception (SLaP) lab, in which he, his co-director, and their students study the role motivational and situational factors play in social perception and judgments. Having published in the Journal of Scientific Psychology and valuing free and open access to scientific information, Adam is excited to take the role of Chief Executive Officer

The Journal of Scientific Psychology (JSP) is proud to announce a new incoming Editor. Dr. April Phillips, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Counseling at Northeastern State University, will take over the editorial duties from Dr. Robert Mather. Dr. Mather will be retained by JSP as Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Phillips received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. Her research interests are social psychology and evolutionary psychology, with her main research interests involving the formation, maintenance, and repair of close relationships. She has a strong record of publishing research in high-quality peer-reviewed journals. Initially appointed to the Editorial Board of JSP by Dr. Mike Knight, she served as an Associate Editor from 2006-2007 and as a Consulting Editor from 2007-2012.

Dr. Rupp is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a background in rhetoric, composition, experimental psychology, history of science with a specialization in psychology, Native American psychology, and thanatology. He had served as consulting editor for JSP since 2005. Dr. Rupp will be overseeing theoretical an historical submissions as well as book and movie reviews.
